Bevor Allo in unseren Produkten zum Einsatz kommt, wird es in kleinen D\u00f6rfern in den Bergen Nepals von Hand verarbeitet. Die Allo-Herstellung ist eine traditionsreiche, einheimische Kunstform, die von der Bev\u00f6lkerung seit Jahrhunderten gepflegt wird. Die Rinde des Allo-Baumes wird f\u00fcr eine Vielzahl von Webwaren verwendet, darunter Kleidung, Taschen, S\u00e4cke, Tischdecken, Decken usw. Die Allo-Verarbeitung bietet heute vielen Nepalesen, darunter auch den Herstellern unserer Rucks\u00e4cke, Arbeit. Allo ist ein gutes Beispiel f\u00fcr traditionelle nepalesische Handwerkskunst im modernen Markt f\u00fcr umweltfreundliche Textilien.<\/p>\n<h2>Verarbeitung von Allo (Brennnessel)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Allo wird aus der Allo-Susni-Pflanze gewonnen. Da diese Pflanze jedoch zwischen 900 und 2500 Metern \u00fcber dem Meeresspiegel w\u00e4chst, sind die meisten Gebiete f\u00fcr die Ernte schwer zug\u00e4nglich. Es dauert mehrere Tage, zu Fu\u00df in den Wald zu wandern, die Allo zu ernten und mit einer Ladung Allo-Rinde zur\u00fcckzukehren. Die Baumst\u00e4mme werden nach der Ernte mehrere Tage lang getrocknet, bevor die Rinde gesch\u00e4lt wird. Durch das Sch\u00e4len wird die \u00e4u\u00dfere Rinde entfernt, die innere Rinde bleibt f\u00fcr die Weiterverarbeitung intakt.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"s1\">Das Spinnen erfolgt entweder mit einer h\u00f6lzernen Handspindel, genannt Katuwa, oder mit einem Spinnrad, genannt Charkha.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Im n\u00e4chsten Schritt wird die innere Rinde in einem mit Holzasche gef\u00fcllten Gef\u00e4\u00df gekocht, um die Fasern aufzuhellen und weicher zu machen. Dies dauert etwa zwei bis drei Stunden. Anschlie\u00dfend wird die Rinde wiederholt mit einem Holzhammer in Wasser geklopft, um die Fasern zu lockern. Dies geschieht \u00fcblicherweise in einem Bach oder Fluss. Die B\u00fcndel sauberer Fasern werden nun zum Trocknen in die Sonne gelegt. Danach werden sie erneut in Wasser eingeweicht und mit gemahlenem Mais (am h\u00e4ufigsten in Westnepal) oder Kamero (einer lokal vorkommenden, glimmerhaltigen wei\u00dfen Tonerde) vermischt, um einen sch\u00f6nen wei\u00dfen Glanz zu erzielen. Das Spinnen erfolgt entweder mit einer h\u00f6lzernen Handspindel namens Katuwa oder mit einem Spinnrad namens \u201eCharkha\u201c.
