Craftsmanship, Fairtrade and Social Empowerment is what we value at HIMALAYAN. Our products are produced by Nepalese artisans who were given the opportunity to set up their own micro-enterprise through the Micro-Enterprise Development Program of the United Nations. <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Through MEDEP, they were trained to process local materials into our beautiful bags and wallets. The program ended in 2018, but the artisans are still thriving and their crafts can now be found all over the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During my trip through Nepal in 2015 I decided to start HIMALAYAN. Impressed by the looks and the beautiful story behind the backpacks in Sunti’s shop, I immediately knew this was something for the future. More than ten years later I still work with great pleasure on HIMALAYAN. I hope to continue the collaboration with Sunti for many years to come and to make more people happy with our beautiful products.<\/p>\n
